CONCEPT 03 · BRAND VENTURE & PITCH DECK

Skin-First Fashion

Designed from the skin out.

A skin-conscious womenswear concept developed for my IFM Fashion Entrepreneurship elective: clothing designed from the start around sensitive and reactive skin, without that consideration defining the aesthetic. The idea started with four years of my own experience living with eczema, checking composition labels, avoiding certain seams and fabrics, and too often choosing between what felt good on my skin and what I actually wanted to wear.

The full 10-slide pitch deck below covers the problem, the research behind it, where the concept sits in the market, the product philosophy, target customer, an initial capsule, and a first view of the business model.

Slide 1: What if your clothes cared about your skin as much as your skincare does? A fashion-first womenswear concept designed with sensitive and reactive skin in mind.
Slide 2: The problem. For sensitive skin, getting dressed isn't always simple.
Slide 3: Beyond my own experience. Market research statistics on skin sensitivity and consumer willingness to pay for natural fibers.
Slide 4: Market whitespace, positioning the brand between skin-specific function-led brands and material-conscious fashion brands.
Slide 5: The concept. Designed from the skin out. Your skin has needs, your wardrobe has standards.
Slide 6: Product philosophy across material, construction, fit, finishing, and aesthetic.
Slide 7: The customer. Core and adjacent customer profiles for women whose skin actively influences how they dress.
Slide 8: Product strategy, starting with a tightly edited capsule of five pieces plus a silk scarf.
Slide 9: Business model covering price and value, go-to-market, and economics and sourcing.
Slide 10: Why me and why now, connecting personal experience with a consulting and strategy background.
